I should have read the description more closely. Somehow I was expecting more of a windbreaker pullover than a zip version of a lightweight fishing shirt. I like the arm and side zip vents. Just was thinking it would be heavier.
The Regulator shirt (of which i now have 3) is a favorite for comfort in all hot-weather activities. I find it excellent for ventilation with super sun protection when hiking. So light "airy" and unrestrictive it's hardly even noticeable to wear John V

I did not give this item a 5 star rating because I have a beef. Overall I like it but it drives me crazy that there is not a side picket for phone Keys.
The Regulator purchased in size medium color green.I am 5' 11" 190 lbs w/41" chest 34" waist and the fit is perfect. Lightweight and breathable. Love this
The top is fantastic Breathes well but is substantially windproof. Sheds moisture well. The pit zips are long and bombproof and allow you to vent well under almost any circumstance. Due to the season the sun protection element has not been tested well but having other garments from RR I know this will be fine. The garment fits well but if you are between sizes I advise going up as my experience with most RR clothing (and this one is no exception) is that the fit is trim. I also want to mention the customer service/support... It is EXCELLENT... Prompt courteous knowledgeable and always extremely helpful Thank you RR.... Enjoy all and safe adventures
I've been wearing the Regulator for a few weeks. Fall New England walking by the shoreline with cold winds coming off the water. I like this windshirt a lot. It's comfortable. Lots of optional ventilation resulting in a great deal of control. Significantly the zippered openings are covered with a thin mesh fabric that keeps your arms inside the shirt sleeves rather than slipping out the "pit zip" openings just as you're pulling the trunk of the shirt over your head. Well done RR. Great weight. Suitable to changing conditions. Sufficiently substantial to do some good. I haven't had it long enough to learn its limits. I also haven't worn it in the rain to date. Even so I recommend this unreservedly. Nice job.

One word Versatile. True to size I wear medium tops and this fit with full range of motion allowed.An over-shirt meets windbreaker half zip pullover with bottom drawstring. Fabric is wind resistant water resistant and stretchy. All zippers work as intended allowing great ventilation without having to take the Regulator off. A casual look without being too casual. As advertised more versatile than fleece. Rinse in cold water dries rapidly one top goes everywhere travel light folds compact extremely light weight durable fabric.
like the Railrider quality most of the RR tops fit me in a size large this seemed tight. I replaced it with an x-large and the fit was great. Quality is great design is unique. Service on the exchange was excellent. Other than the fit problem 5 star rated.
